Nick Anand is the Vice-President of Planning, Facilities, Redevelopment and Protection Services at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC). He is a senior healthcare and life sciences executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience delivering complex capital, infrastructure, facilities and operational programs across North America and internationally.

Throughout his career, Nick has led and managed capital portfolios exceeding $5 billion across the healthcare, life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors. His experience includes major hospital redevelopment, infrastructure renewal, utilities expansion, facility modernization and strategic capital planning in both publicly funded and private-sector environments.

Nick brings particular expertise in the renewal and operation of aging healthcare facilities, including infrastructure risk, operational continuity, asset reliability, predictive maintenance and the delivery of major capital improvements within active clinical environments. He has also implemented project delivery, project controls, governance and performance-management systems to strengthen accountability, cost and schedule control, risk management and project execution.

A key strength of Nick’s leadership is his ability to build and align large, multidisciplinary teams around complex organizational priorities. He has worked extensively across clinical, engineering, facilities, operations, finance, government and external partner groups, and brings strong experience in financial planning, capital budgeting, business case development, portfolio prioritization and long-range investment planning.

Prior to joining KHSC, Nick served as Vice-President, Engineering & Facilities at ARX Group, where he led major hospital redevelopment, utilities expansion, strategic planning and facility needs assessments. Previously, as Senior Principal, Capital Projects at Stenaco Inc., he was responsible for development projects across North America and Southeast Asia. Earlier in his career, Nick spent 11 years with Sanofi Pasteur in progressively senior leadership roles in engineering, capital development, life sciences infrastructure and operations.

Nick is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario and a Project Management Professional and holds both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in engineering. He has also completed specialized training in capital project execution, change management and project controls.

In addition to his role at KHSC, Nick serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering within the Stephen J.R. Smith Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Queen’s University, contributing to academic collaboration and the co-supervision and training of students on relevant engineering & management projects.
