McKinney has been a scheduler, secretary, an administrative as well as executive assistant.
The titles may be different, but one thing that hasn’t changed is her enthusiastic, can-do approach.
“I’ve been mentored by some amazing leaders over the years who led with kindness, empathy and compassion, and have inspired me to do the same. I also try to bring laughter into the day. I think it’s essential to have fun, while getting the job done.”
She’s now spreading smiles and working her behind-the-scenes magic with our Ambulatory Care program as a portfolio coordinator.
“I love this position! My job is to support, organize, schedule and plan, but more importantly, I’m proud to be part of a team working together to make a difference for the communities we serve. Everyone I work with is incredibly supportive and dedicated to making Ambulatory Care a success, which helps prevent unnecessary hospital admissions or visits to the Emergency Department.”
A natural cheerleader, McKinney is sharing the love with the KHSC admin squad.
“Be proud of your role! Your dedication, skill and knowledge are essential to the smooth operation of every department at KHSC. And behind every successful leader is their administrative assistant, who told them where to be and when.”
So, we’ll say it again… who run the world? That’s right - admins!
Shout out to all the KHSC schedulers of meetings, slayers of to-do lists and masters of multitasking. We see you, we appreciate you and trust us - we’d be lost without you.
Happy Administrative Professionals Day!
