Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) has declared a Influenza outbreak on the Connell 10 unit of the Kingston General Hospital (KGH) site after two patients tested positive.
KFL&A Public Health has been notified, and contact tracing efforts by the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) team are underway. The unit remains open to admissions.
KHSC’s top priority is the safety of our patients, health-care workers and community. KHSC will continue to enforce safety measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 and Influenza at all of our sites, including universal masking and physical distancing. KHSC also encourages everyone who hasn’t already to consider getting the annual flu vaccine.
