Effective immediately masking is required for everyone when present on all inpatient units, in the Emergency Department (ED), the Urgent Care Centre (UCC), and the Children’s Outpatient Centre (COPC).
With declining COVID-19 prevalence in our community, which has translated into less demand for PCR COVID-19 testing at this time, the Beechgrove COVID-19 Assessment Centre will be reducing its hours of operation throughout the summer months.
The change allows the Assessment Centre to continue supporting current PCR testing volumes while also wisely stewarding its resources over the summer.
As of July 1, 2022, the Assessment Centre will be closed on weekends and statutory holidays. The hours of operation are now Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Individuals requiring COVID-19 PCR testing on the weekend will be able to access this service through select local pharmacies listed at www.KingstonHSC.ca/COVID19. You are asked to call the pharmacy prior before accessing their PCR testing services.
