From Belleville to Brockville, to Napanee, Perth, Smiths Falls, Trenton, and even Moose Factory in the north, we're here for you. All 500,000 of you.
As the only academic health sciences centre located between the Greater Toronto Area and Ottawa, we’ve likely provided some type of care to you, or someone you love. When you add it all up, the numbers are pretty incredible.
For example, between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024 we have:
- Had more than 101,000 visits to our Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centre.
- Completed more than 260,000 imaging exams.
- Performed more than 17,500 surgeries and procedures.
- Cared for more than 26,500 inpatients.
- Delivered 1,900 babies.
- Completed 367,000 outpatient/ambulatory clinic appointments.
- Performed more than 3.4 million lab tests.
It shows that our entire team – made up of more than 6,000 staff, approximately 700 credentialed physicians, more than 2,000 health-care learners and hundreds of volunteers – is working hard, around the clock in fact, to provide you with the best care possible.
