Diagnostic Imaging Care

At Kingston Health Sciences Centre, we provide quality service in a timely, efficient and considerate manner.

As the largest diagnostic imaging department in our region, we provide a number of specialized procedures that are used to diagnose diseases and conditions as well as to monitor your treatment or recovery. These tests and examination techniques include general radiology, interventional radiology, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound as well as computer topography and nuclear medicine. Most of the procedures we provide require an appointment to be booked through the Imaging Department. Due to high-demand, there are wait times for these procedures, however, we will work with your primary health care provider to find a time that is appropriate for the type of care you require. For more information about appointments, including how to prepare for an appointment, please visit our appointments section. 

We are located at both the Hotel Dieu Hospital (HDH) site and the Kingston General Hospital (KGH) site. Depending on your imaging needs, you will visit us at one of these two locations.

For appointments at the HDH site you can find us at 166 Brock Street. Volunteers are also located inside the main entrance and can help you find your way. If you have any questions about our HDH site we can be reached at 613-544-3400 extension 3020.

For appointment at the KGH site you can find us on the ground floor of the Kidd Wing which can be accessed through the KGH site main entrance off Stuart Street. After entering the main lobby walk straight ahead to the Kidd hallway, turn left, go past the Donor Wall and we are located through the first door on your right. Getting your images and reports

KHSC is pleased to offer a new electronic image sharing system called PocketHealth Patient Sharing. This platform allows patients to access their imaging records anytime they need, to share with anyone they want through a simple online experience that eliminates the need for CD’s.
