As a Kingston Health Sciences Centre volunteer, you have the opportunity to support patients and family members throughout their health care journey. Whether you are calling to remind them of an appointment or walking them to meet their ride after a procedure, you can enhance their experience!
Volunteers are pivotal to providing support, information, encouragement, directions, comfort items and diversion from anxiety, stress, or boredom.
Volunteers are highly valued members of the health care team at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Kingston General Hospital, the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario, Detoxification Centre, and the Eating Disorders Day Treatment Program. They play a vital role in helping to improve the patient experience and complement the high standard of patient care provided by our staff and physicians.
