As part of $32 million upgrade to Queen’s University’s Botterell Hall, George Street (near its intersection with Stuart Street) will be closed starting on Monday, October 16. It’s expected to reopen at the end of the week. (Note - George Street reopened to traffic on October 19)

Patients and families who will be coming to KHSC’s KGH site for Cancer or Dialysis treatment can continue to park in their designated spaces on George Street during construction, but will instead have to access these parking spots via Barrie Street and O’Kill Street.

“Signage will be in place to help direct traffic and to make sure that patients can find their way to their appointments, however we do suggest patients plan to arrive a few minutes earlier to ensure they get to their appointments on time,” says Rocky Prosser, Director of Protection Services.

Crews will also be on scene to help direct traffic.

Construction on Botterell Hall began in October 2016 and is scheduled to be substantially complete by April 2018.
