In 2025, Dr. Doris Jabs was appointed KHSC's inaugural Rose of Hope Clinical Chair in Breast Health, a new leadership role supported by the Rose of Hope and the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation.
Dr. Jabs is a fellowship-trained women's imaging radiologist with more than two decades of experience who also serves as the Regional Breast Imaging Lead for the Ontario Breast Screening Program. She was also one of the driving forces behind the creation of Breast Imaging Kingston.
As the Clinical Chair in Breast Health, Dr. Jabs has the opportunity to look beyond an individual imaging test to the broader breast health journey, with the goal of improving care.Her work focuses on building a stronger, more connected breast health system, including reducing wait times, improving navigation and follow-up, expanding outreach to underserved communities, and strengthening collaboration among health-care providers.
