For more than 22 years, Indira has worked across the continuum of health care in progressive human resources roles at Providence Care and KHSC. Passionate about health system sustainability and effectiveness, Indira has overseen numerous major health system transformation initiatives, including guiding workforce adjustments associated to bed closures, operational redesign, service expansions, and transfers. Indira has proven her ability to build effective relationships and partnerships over the years and is a respected leader overseeing numerous regional working groups on topics related to health system redesign and administration of government programs. Indira brings a commitment to collaboration and excellence with her strong people-focus, business acumen, and strategic lens.
With a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University, Indira has focused her ongoing development in specialized areas of human resources (such as employee benefits, industrial relations, and pay equity) and has participated in numerous leadership development programs including the Advanced System Leadership Program with the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Business, and Mission Leadership with the Catholic Health Sponsors of Ontario. A member of the Kingston community for over 35 years, Indira’s commitment to community has included serving on various Advisory Committee of St. Lawrence College, the Compensation Review Committee of the City of Kingston, and being a Rotarian for many years.
