a young patient watches spiderman washing windows at KHSC

To the delight of patients, families and hospital staff, a squad of caped crusaders from Elite Window Cleaning returned to Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) to lift the spirits of children receiving care throughout Kingston General Hospital site.

“It was an electrifying moment,” says Erika Kooi, program manager for pediatrics at KHSC, describing the moment the superheroes appeared in the windows of excited young patients. “The way the kids just lit up is something I will never forget. It’s hard to experience a hospital stay as a kid, and this event is something that makes them feel special and brightens the memory of their visit with us.”

Superhero day is something that our staff rally around every year,” beams Greg Przada, a business advisor and resident Batman at Elite Window Cleaning. “It energizes the entire team – even those who aren’t working that day come down and watch the event. We work hard at what we do and we love the opportunity to make kids smile while we do it.”

Special thanks to the staff, volunteers and partners who brought this magical event to life for the 9th consecutive year.
