Pre-pandemic volunteers at the Hotel Dieu and Kingston General Hospital sites of Kingston Health Sciences Centre contributed 85,000 hours a year in 80 programs, services, departments and units and helped raise close to $750,000 annually toward the purchase of equipment and patient comfort items.
Our volunteer team includes individuals from 16 to 98 years old, as well as therapy dogs through St. John Ambulance. Volunteer opportunities suit a variety of interests, skill levels and schedules.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our volunteers have continued to go above and beyond in their commitment to upholding KHSC values: compassion, respect, partnership, excellence and innovation.
