J.A. (Sandy) Wilson
Sandy Wilson is a legacy member of the Board of Directors of Hotel Dieu Hospital, having been appointed to the role in 2015. In this role, he sat on the Resources Planning Committee, Audit Subcommittee and HDH/Queen’s Affiliation Agreement Subcommittee. At KHSC he has served on the People Finance &, Audit Committee, the Kingston General Hospital Research Institute, The Redevelopment Committee and as Chair of the Governance Committee
Wilson is a graduate of Queen’s University and the Architectural Association School of Architecture. He founded Alexander Wilson Architect in Kingston in 1988 and has been the Chief Executive Officer of Roderick Lahey Architect Inc. in Ottawa since 2023. Both firms have a wide variety of government, private, institutional, non-profit and corporate clients.
His volunteer activities include his roles as the past president of the Frontenac Heritage Foundation and Festivals on the St. Lawrence, elected member of the Downtown Kingston! BIA, and President of Admiralty Place Condominium Corporation.
He and his wife Elizabeth will celebrate their 47th wedding anniversary in 2024 and are the parents of three daughters Alex, Sally and Gillian.
