The Environmental Exposure Unit (EEU) is an indoor allergen challenge facility that allows researchers to gauge the effectiveness of antihistamines, nasal corticosteroids and other investigational medications used to treat allergic rhinitis.
Using a controlled environment that eliminates variables such as weather, the EEU can be used to conduct studies at any time of year by delivering controlled levels of allergens to up to 140 participants at a time. This allows researchers to test various medications and treatments
The EEU offers a wide range of research services for research teams wishing to conduct studies, including:
- Study design, planning and management
- Access to allergen facility, labs and pharmacy services
- Data collection services
