Affiliated with the Kingston General Hospital Research Institute, KGH was again named as one of Canada’s top research hospitals on Research InfoSource’s List of Canada’s Top 40 Research Hospitals for 2015. Research InfoSource is Canada's source of research and Development Intelligence.
With more than 180 active researchers, KGH ranked 28th overall. "Research intensity continues to grow at the hospital," says Roger Deeley, Vice-President of Health Sciences Research at KGH and President of the KGH Research Institute. “Together with our academic partners, KGHRI increased research revenues, attracted top talent from around the world, and supported groundbreaking research in a variety of fields. With the opening of WJ Henderson Centre for Patient Oriented Care in the coming year, we anticipate exciting new developments in translational research activity and increased opportunities for collaboration.”
Research InfoSource’s Top 40 Research Hospitals is a barometer for the research hospital sector in Canada. It is a helpful tool to measure the contribution of Canada’s research hospitals to Canada’s innovation ecosystem.
