Neurological Research spans a wide range of disciplines and interests, including Clinical, Systems, Cellular/Molecular and Cognitive/Behavioural Neurosciences.

The Centre for Neuroscience Studies is a hub of multidisciplinary research and teaching aimed at improving our understanding of the brain --  how it works and how new therapies and diagnoses can play an important role in the prevention and treatment of diseases such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Stroke, Obesity, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Schizophrenia and Depression.

Researchers at the centre are creating robotic technologies and specialized software, developing new treatment approaches for neurosurgery and providing critical training opportunities for our next generation of scientist. A cutting edge MRI facility within the Centre supports research spanning the physical, biological and medical sciences.
