Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) has declared a COVID-19 outbreak on the Davies 5 unit of the Kingston General Hospital (KGH) site following three patients testing positive for COVID-19. The unit is now closed to admissions and closed to all non-essential visitors. 

KFL&A Public Health has been notified, and KHSC is in the process of notifying patients, visitors and staff affected by the outbreak. Meanwhile, KHSC is also in the process of completing the necessary contact tracing and testing for other individuals within the unit. 

KHSC’s top priority remains the safety of our patients, health-care workers and community. As we continue to see spread of COVID-19 in the community, KHSC thanks everyone for adhering to our screening processes, masking requirements and visitor restrictions.
