KHSC declares COVID-19 outbreak on Kidd 7 unit

Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) has declared a COVID-19 outbreak on Kidd 7 unit at its Kingston General Hospital (KGH) site. A total of three COVID-19 positive patients are on the unit at this time. The unit is now closed to all but essential visitors.

KFL&A Public Health has been notified, and KHSC is in the process of notifying patients, visitors and staff affected by the outbreak. KHSC is also completing the necessary contact tracing and testing for individuals on the unit.

Currently, there is also a COVID-19 outbreak on the Davies 5 unit at the KGH site.

KHSC’s top priority is the safety of our patients, health-care workers, and community. As we continue to see community spread of COVID-19, KHSC thanks everyone for adhering to our screening processes, masking requirements and visitor restrictions.
