Kingston, ON – Nov. 25, 2024 – Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) is notifying patients, families, visitors, and staff of a temporary restriction to vehicle access at the KGH site main entrance on Wednesday, Nov. 27, for paving work. The main entrance doors will remain open, but vehicle traffic will be rerouted.

Please note:

  1. Vehicles dropping off or picking up patients, visitors, or staff should use the Armstrong entrance located along Lower University Avenue.
  1. Security guards will be onsite to direct traffic and support patients and families. Signage will also be posted to guide traffic.
  1. Non-urgent patient transfer service vehicles, the Coroner’s office, Police and Funeral home vehicles will still be permitted to access the area. Those vehicles should enter the area via the ‘exit lane’ located closest to Etherington Hall.
  1. The small parking lot outside the KGH site main entrance will also be closed on Nov. 27. Individuals, including those requiring accessible parking, are encouraged to park in the underground garage on Stuart Street and access the hospital via the underground tunnel.

This paving work is expected to be completed in one day, with normal access resuming on Nov. 28.
