This year we launched the KHSC Nursing Awards of Excellence, which aims to champion nurses who have demonstrated dedication, distinction and commitment to the profession, their patients and their community.
"Creating this awards program is our way of recognizing and honoring the outstanding impact and contributions of KHSC nurses," says Jason Hann, Chief Nursing Executive at KHSC. "It's an opportunity for us to shine a spotlight on those among us who embody the very best of the profession."
To determine the winners, a panel of judges sifted through 45 glowing nominations, each one painting a picture of a nurse who demonstrates exceptional skills and knowledge and is highly regarded among their peers.
"Reading through the peer nominations really highlighted how many incredible nurses we are fortunate to work with," adds Hann. "Each of these nurses bring the KHSC mission to life when they come to work every day, and for that we are extremely grateful."
Congratulations to all nominees and award recipients. A complete list of winners follows, as well as photographs of those who were able to attend the ceremony.
