Dr. Levy studies the electrophysiological changes that occur in the neurological diseases of Parkinson’s and epilepsy. He examines how brain activity changes over time between normal and abnormal states by performing intracranial recordings of single unit and local field potential activity. He is working to develop novel methods of electrical stimulation to improve the symptoms and modify the natural history of these diseases.
