Effective immediately masking is required for everyone when present on all inpatient units, in the Emergency Department (ED), the Urgent Care Centre (UCC), and the Children’s Outpatient Centre (COPC).
WSIB Specialty Program
In partnership with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), the WSIB Specialty Program assesses patients with a workplace injury and provides treatment recommendations to support their recovery and return-to-work plan.

Referrals
Patients require a referral from the case management team at WSIB.
If you are a family doctor seeking WSIB Specialty Program services for your patient with a workplace injury, please fax a referral with the claim number clearly identified directly to WSIB at 416-344-4684.

Preparation
When you come to your appointment, please bring:
- The phone number and address of your family doctor and/or treating therapist.
- A list of medications you are currently taking.
- Reading glasses if required.
- Imaging files (e.g. x-rays, MRI, CT) that have been completed since time of injury.
- Any aids or adaptations that you have been using for your injury (e.g. wrist splints or shoulder slings).
What you can expect
- Your appointment can last up to two hours
- We may need to do additional testing
- After your assessment, you will receive a summary report outlining your treatment and return-to-work recommendations. A copy of this report will be sent to your family doctor and to your WSIB case manager.
