Jason Hann

Jason has 20-plus years of progressive experience in healthcare and holds a BA degree in Nursing Science from the Charles Sturt University in Australia, a Diploma in Critical Care Nursing from George Brown College, an MBA from Queen’s University, and a Lean and Six Sigma Greenbelt for Methodology.
Over more than a decade, he has had progressive leadership experience in acute care and long-term care in both academic health science and community hospital environments. Since 2013, he has excelled at the director level in clinical operations with a focus on critical care and surgical portfolios.
Jason was previously employed at Almonte General Hospital, Fairview Manor, and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital, where he worked as the Integrated Vice President, Patient & Resident Services and Chief Nursing Executive. Prior to that, he was the Director of Surgery and Ambulatory Services at William Osler Health System in Toronto. He has also held leadership roles at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, The Ottawa Hospital, and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
Jason is a collaborative leader with strengths in operations, business process redesign and stakeholder engagement. He brings strong clinical expertise, as well as regional and provincial experience to KHSC. He was born and raised in Newfoundland where he started his career as a Registered Nurse.
