Many opportunities are available for patients and families to participate in research. Your participation helps our researchers and healthcare providers to develop better healthcare treatments and practices through evidence-based decision-making.
There are several different kinds of research that you can take part in, including:
- Research studies, which ask you to answer a questionnaire or survey about your condition;
- Studies that ask you to contribute blood, urine or tissue samples to a specimen or genetic database;
- Studies (also called “clinical trials”) that compare one kind of treatment to another, such as drugs, devices, or surgical procedures;
Are you interested in participating in a clinical trial?
Will you help shape the treatments of tomorrow? Every clinical trial needs people just like you!
