Spiritual Health services at KGH site (available 24x7)
Spiritual Health at KHSC involves providing compassionate patient and family centered care, including services for KHSC staff. Spiritual Health Practitioners are professionally educated and clinically trained to serve people of all walks of life and can be an important support for you.
Request a visit with a Spiritual Health Practitioner or a Roman Catholic Chaplain:
- For the KGH site leave a message at 613-548-6094. These messages are monitored 8am-4pm Monday through Friday.
- At KGH call switchboard by dialing 0 and ask for the on-call Spiritual Health Practitioner or Roman Catholic Chaplain.
- For the HDH site a Spiritual Health Practitioner is available Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through pager 613-546-7507.
- You can contact the Spiritual Health, Mission & Ethics office at HDH ext. 2231.
At KHSC there are three sacred spaces for quiet reflection, meditation or prayer:
Hotel Dieu Hospital Chapel
Sydenham 2 (at Sydenham Street entrance)
Open 6 am to 5:45 pm weekdays
Mass: 11:30 am, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Inter-Faith Centre
Room 390, Sydenham 3
Open 6 am to 5:45 pm weekdays
The Inter-Faith Centre is a sacred space for quiet prayer, meditation and reflection. Religious books are available for the major faith traditions; information about other faith traditions is available upon request from the Spiritual Health, Mission & Ethics office at ext. 2231. Human and animal images are prohibited to ensure all faith traditions are honored in this centre.
