There is also plenty to explore in the countryside surrounding Kingston. Take a trip a few minutes north and you are in a cottage country dotted with thousands of pristine lakes. To the west, you can spend the weekend biking and touring the wineries of Prince Edward County.
And if hitting the water is your passion, Kingston is home to some of the best sailing you can find in Canada, featuring both the open water of Lake Ontario and the scenic channels of the Thousand Islands just to the east.
It all adds up to some of the best scenery in all of Ontario.
