You can see the KGH Auxiliary hard at work to raise funds for our hospital from the moment you walk through the front door. Its members run the Auxiliary café, gift shop, tuck shop, lottery booth and hair salon, along with fundraisers such as the Teddy Bear Campaign and the Auxiliary Golf Tournament.
During their recent annual general meeting, the Auxiliary celebrated its 110th anniversary. Auxiliary President Jenny Raymond then presented a cheque worth almost $470,000 to KGH Board Chair Scott Carson and CEO Leslee Thompson.
The bulk of the money will go towards purchasing things listed on our capital equipment list over the upcoming year.
