KHSC hosts Genetics Patient and Family Day

Has your life, or the life of a loved-one been impacted by a genetic condition? If so, you are invited to attend Kingston Health Sciences Centre’s Genetics Patient and Family Day on Saturday, October 14.

It’s a social and educational event for people and their families affected with a genetic condition such as Huntington Disease, hereditary cancers, metabolic conditions or who have developmental concerns as a result of a genetic condition.

You can come, connect and learn from other individuals and families with these conditions through sharing circles as well as meet with experts from KHSC to receive educational resources. If you have a metabolic condition which requires low protein intake, you can also participate in a low protein cooking class.

The event is designed to be a fun family friendly atmosphere, with entertainment, guest speakers and refreshments.
