When you submit your application you will receive an email confirming receipt. A recruitment team member will then review the information you have submitted against the requirements for the position and determine if your skills, abilities and experience match with the position being filled. The recruitment team member will share their recommendations with the hiring manager to review and consider.
Based on this review, you may be contacted by a member of the recruitment team for the pre-screen interview.
Our pre-screening process
Recruitment Advisors conduct pre-screening interviews by telephone. This conversation takes between 20 and 30 minutes and provides KHSC with the information needed to assess how well your skills, abilities and experience align with the position. Through this process, Recruitment will concentrate its time on interviewing applicants who are felt to possess the best qualifications, skills, and responses to interview questions for the position being filled.
Testing
For some positions, there may be a testing component associated with the position. If this is the case and testing is required, this will be administered by the recruitment team as part of the qualifying process.
Scheduling of In-Person Interviews
The recruitment team will use the notes taken during the pre-screening interviews to compare candidates' skill, abilities and experience with the position. In addition, responses to the pre-screening questions will give an indication of the candidate's enthusiasm for the position. The evaluation process after pre-screening interviews will create a list of candidates suitable for a face-to-face interview. This list is based on a short list of candidates who are felt to be best qualified for the position.
