To get a clear picture of what Kingston General Hospital's plans are for next year, all you have to do is check out our latest Annual Corporate Plan. It was recently approved and is now posted on the "Achieving Our Aim" section of our website.

"In this year's plan we wanted to create greater focus and support people at all levels of the organization to understand how their daily work helps us achieve our strategy," says CEO Leslee Thompson.

To this end, along with Outcomes and Milestones, this year the plan has been expanded to include Improvement Priorities for each of the four strategic directions and the six enablers. These priorities were shaped during a planning session in January that brought together leaders from across the organization, and a number of them are already underway.

"The theme is improvement. It's not about creating more work - it's about transitioning into a new mindset of continuous improvement where we come to work every day to improve something," says Thompson.

Among the over two-dozen priorities listed are plans to expand the scope of the Patient Experience Advisor program, reduce wait times and reduce length of stay, to name just a few.
