Although we do everything we can to make the the hospital feel like home to you and your family, we realize you are all hoping to get to your real home as soon as possible. All parents want to know when their child can go home and throughout your child's stay, we will consistently communicate with you to let you know your child's expected discharge date.
Prior to discharge, the pediatric team will review the return to day-care and school guidelines. In the event medications are required after discharge, we will review the instructions with you before going home. A follow up with your child’s family physician or pediatrician is encouraged and a report of the hospital stay will be sent to them so they fully understand your child's condition and the care they received in the hospital.
After your child's discharge from hospital, please let us know if you have any compliments, comments or concerns and take the time to complete our patient satisfaction survey.
