At Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) we value and appreciate the hard work that our staff, attending physicians and volunteers contribute to our organization and patients. Throughout the year we take time to recognize and appreciate each other.
Service Recognition
KHSC offers a service-based program that recognizes and rewards employees, attending physicians and volunteers with service at 5-year milestones starting at 5 years and ending at 55 years. Individuals with milestones of 25 years or more are also invited to our annual formal long service recognition dinner.
KHSC Team Awards
The KHSC Team Awards are our organization’s most prestigious awards. They are presented annually to acknowledge those who exude unwavering dedication across KHSC, with awards being presented to teams exhibiting excellence in the categories of Care, Knowledge and Leadership.
Hotel Dieu Hospital (HDH) Mission Awards
In honour of past and present Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph (RHSJ), the HDH Mission Awards are presented annually to staff working at our HDH site whose practice unwaveringly embodies the legacy HDH Mission. The Jeanne Mance Award recognizes individual achievement, while the Jérôme Le Royer Award acknowledges an outstanding team.
KHSC hosts several other staff appreciation events throughout the year. Examples include:
- Thank You voucher program
- Annual Strawberry Social
- Sprinkle Some Joy campaigns
- Seasonal events December through January.
