When the time comes for you to leave the hospital and return home, we want to make sure you are as comfortable and prepared as possible. This is why every unit at the hospital will provide you with a discharge pamphlet for post-procedures and a nurse will review all of this information with you.
You will need to have arranged for a ride home depending on the appointment you have been to KGH for and if you are unable to drive for yourself.
Expected discharge from hospital if you have had a stay is 1100 am, please arrange for transportation or notify staff if this is a problem.
You will be given follow up instruction and if you had an overnight stay may have an e-discharge document given to you in addition to a copy for your family doctor
Depending on your condition, you may be referred to cardiac rehabilitation or referred for other outpatient services as applicable.
